Creating opportunities to help women grow in the Alaskan outdoors.

Building communities and confidence in the outdoors one family at a time.

In Alaska where every woman, child, and family has the opportunity, knowledge, and support to experience the outdoors, participate in ethical hunting and fishing, and help conserve our wildlife and natural resources for generations to come.

Education, community outreach, conservation and advocacy

The Women Hunting Alaska Program exists to serve the public by creating opportunities that make outdoor education and experiences more accessible. Through scholarships, educational programs, conservation initiatives, mentorship and advocacy our goal is remove or lessen financial and social barriers while fostering stewardship, confidence and lifelong skills in the Alaskan outdoors.

Making An Impact

Creating events that all women would be interested in based on physical, financial and social conditions.

Support for Communities

Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the workshops to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.

“With the support from Lusaka, we have been able to serve our students better than ever.”
