Make a Difference

At Women Hunting Alaska Program, we believe that access to education, mentorship, and meaningful outdoor experiences can change lives.

For someone who has never hunted, the journey can feel overwhelming. Where do you begin? Who teaches you? How do you learn the skills, build the confidence, find a mentor, and understand the responsibility that comes with harvesting Alaska’s wildlife resources?

That is where WHA Program makes a difference.

Through education, hands-on training, mentorship, conservation awareness, and opportunities in the field, we help women, youth, and families develop the knowledge and confidence to become safe, ethical, responsible hunters and stewards of Alaska’s wild places.

Your donation helps us reduce the barriers that can prevent someone from participating. It can help provide educational programs, equipment, scholarships, mentorship opportunities, field experiences, and other resources that make learning possible.

But the impact reaches far beyond a single class or hunt.

When someone learns how to safely handle a firearm, read the landscape, understand wildlife regulations, care for harvested meat, respect the resource, or confidently step into the field for the first time, they carry that knowledge forward. They share it with their families, their communities, and eventually with the next generation.

We are building confidence. We are building community. We are strengthening connections to Alaska’s lands and wildlife. And we are helping create the next generation of conservation-minded outdoor leaders.

Every contribution—large or small—helps create another opportunity for someone to learn, grow, connect, and experience what it means to responsibly participate in Alaska’s hunting heritage.

Your gift can make that opportunity possible.

Help us educate. Help us mentor. Help us conserve. Help us make a difference.
